Anthony and I went to see the Yankees play the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday evening. My parents were talking one evening how we should go see them play in the stadium before they demolish it. So I bought us bleacher tickets (which was a rip-off to say the least!). The game started at 7:05 – we needed to be on the train out of Princeton Junction by 4:50ish. Anthony didn’t get home from his class until 5 so we are making a mad-dash to get to the station (thankfully it’s ride mass transit for free week for students so we didn’t have to buy tickets). We arrive, our train is running 10 minutes late, and then it takes 1 1/2 hours to get to Penn Station. We then hop on the subway at 34th & Herald and its another 30 minutes to get to the Bronx. We got there around 7:45, grabbed some hot dogs and enjoyed about 4 innings of the game. We aren’t huge baseball fans, but it was cool to be at one of the last games of the year there. There were 5 games left (after tonight it will be 3) and everyone had their cameras out. Flashes galore were going off – especially when the big players were up to bat. It was pretty humorous. I brought my point and shoot and I was limited on battery life so we only got a handful of pictures. Here’s a collage of a few of them.

Tracy - Hey Kim!!
I’m enjoying your photos and trip stories!! I am imagining being there traveling on the subway, it sounds like a lot of fun — even if there are some crazy delays that always seem to get in the way!! I love the photo of the baseball field — that will be memory keeper.
